What is an escape room?
An escape room is a live-action, team-based game where players solve puzzles and complete challenges to achieve a goal—usually escaping a themed room—within a set time limit (60 minutes at The Riddle Realm!).
Do we actually get locked in?
Nope! While the goal is to "escape," the door is never actually locked. You’re free to leave at any time for safety or comfort—but please note that once a player exits the room, they may not reenter.
Are your escape rooms scary?
Not exactly—our rooms are mysterious and immersive, but we aim for suspense and story-driven tension, not horror. Serial Killer’s Cabin has a creepier theme, but nothing graphic or gory.
How long is each experience?
Each game is 60 minutes, but we recommend arriving 15 minutes early for check-in and the game briefing. The whole experience takes about 90 minutes.
Do I need a reservation?
Booking ahead is preferred to ensure your room and time are available. Walk-ins are welcome if we have availability, but rooms often fill up quickly!
What if we’re running late?
Please call us if you’re running behind! We’ll do our best to accommodate, but late arrivals may have shortened game time.
How many players can be in a room?
Group sizes vary by room. Please check each room’s individual page for recommended and maximum group sizes—some rooms are larger and can accommodate more players than others.
What’s the minimum age?
The minimum age to play is 13 years old. Players under 15 must be accompanied by a paying adult (18+) in the room.
Can we play with just 2 people?
Yes! All of our rooms are playable with two people, though some puzzles may be more challenging without a full team.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! Riddle Realm gift cards make great gifts and can be used for any of our rooms.
Can I change or cancel my reservation?
Yes! You can cancel or reschedule up to 2 hours before your game. We don’t offer refunds, but you’ll receive a credit to reschedule within the next 3 months.
What if we get stuck on a puzzle?
No worries! Your Game Master is watching and ready to offer hints if your team needs a little nudge.
Will we be playing with strangers?
Never! All bookings are private, so it's just you and your team.
Do you offer accessibility accommodations during the game?
Yes! While accessibility varies slightly by room layout, we’re happy to accommodate as best we can. If you need to remain seated during the game, we can provide a folding chair upon request. For wheelchair access or other specific needs, please contact us before booking so we can recommend the most comfortable experience.
Is it okay to take photos or videos inside the rooms?
No, phones and recording devices are not allowed during the game. This helps keep the experience fun and fair for everyone. We provide a bucket inside the room for personal items, including phones, which must remain there for the duration of the game. You’re welcome to take group photos in the lobby before or after your experience!
